Position Title: Behavioral Health Care Coordinator


Location: Camino Health Center
Full/Part Time: Full Time with Benefits

Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator is responsible for guiding patients through all phases of referral management and providing enabling services to decrease barriers to service. Simultaneously, the BH Care Coordinator (BHCC) will administratively support the behavioral health care team by managing electronic health record cues, scheduling patients, and following up with patients. The BH care coordinator will work closely with the BH care team to successfully meet requirements the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) clinical performance measures.

The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator consistently demonstrates behaviors that ensure the mission and core values of Camino Health Center - Service, Dignity, Justice, and Excellence - are carried out within all daily tasks.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual - Bicultural (English/Spanish)
  • Experience or training in a health care setting.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in linking consumers with various community resources.

Position Title: Clinic Manager


Location: Camino Health Center

Job Summary: the Clinic Manager is responsible for coordinating the efficient flow of medical services, ensuring a high level of customer service and managing the medical clinic’s telecommunications and medical records systems. The Clinic Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating the activities of the Patient Services Representatives, Patient Services Representative Lead, Medical Assistants, Primary Care Team Lead and the Perinatal Coordinator. The Clinic Manager is charged with maximizing appointment scheduling, ensuring patients are check-in accurately and facilitating proper registration with various public and private funded programs. Participates and leads initiatives to enhance the health center’s Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) care delivery model. The Clinic Manager is responsible for promoting positive working relationships with patients, families, health care providers and health center employees. The Clinic Manager is charged with developing a culture of teamwork within the department in order to guarantee an excellent patient experience; ensures all interactions with parties coming into contact with the medical clinic are congruent with the health center’s core values. The Clinic Manager directly supervises the Patient Services Representatives, Patient Services Representative Lead Medical Assistant, Primary Care Team Lead and the Perinatal Coordinator.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Prior supervisory experience and excellent customer service skills
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in related field.

  • Two years of experience working in an outpatient primary care clinic
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Position Title: Controller


Location: Camino Health Center
Full/Part Time: Full Time with Benefits

Job Summary: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will be responsible for oversight of day to day finance, accounting and reporting activities in a hands on role. The Controller will lead all finance/accounting operations including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, accounting for grants, the production of periodic financial reports, financial guidance, general accounting, budgets, and budget to actual reporting. The Controller will ensure that the health center has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation, general accounting, financial reporting and year end audits in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Controller will work closely with program leaders and staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
  • Experience / Training: Minimum 5 years accounting management experience as a controller or equivalent; Experience with implementing accounting software.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • License / Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience / Training: Not for profit fundraising accounting (i.e. Fund Accounting), grant accounting, community clinic accounting preferred; knowledge of FQHC regulations and requirements a plus. Five years previous supervisor experience.

Position Title: Dental Assistant

Job Summary:
The primary function of the dental assistant is to provide front office support and to ensure that a high level of customer service is provided to health center patients and caretakers. The dental assistant is tasked with performing basic supportive chair-side procedures under the direction of the staff dentist, maintaining the operatories in a safe and workable condition, properly cleaning all dental instruments and assisting with providing oral health education to patients and caregivers.

Position Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:
Primary job function is to work as part of a team to provide high quality, efficient and service oriented patient care while demonstrating the health center’s core values. The Laboratory Technician works in coordination with physicians, mid-level providers, behavioral health professionals, registered nurses and other support staff to deliver direct patient care services. Working under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for coordinating all laboratory functions. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for facilitating an efficient workflow in the laboratory and conveying a high level of customer service at all times. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for obtaining patient specimens, facilitating the electronic workflow within the health center and working with external laboratory vendors.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Current State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I license.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work with people of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds and maintain patient confidentiality

Job Summary:
Direct patient care: Performs patient care functions as directed.

Back office duties: Ensures exam rooms are properly cleaned and equipped, monitors inventory of medical supplies.

Clerical duties: Files, completes forms, answers phones.

Patient relations: Provides positive support and caring behavior in all communications to clients, visitors and staff. Acts as Spanish/English translator between provider and client when needed.

Job Summary:
Communicates with clients and patients in a respectful manner, verifies patient appointments, updates patient and registration information. Processes patient encounter documentation: Issues accurate encounter forms (super bill), provides patients with statement of charges and payments, reconciles daily cash collection, reviews all encounter forms for completeness. Facilitates patient flow: Collects needed information to facilitate patient encounter, informs other staff members of patient needs as appropriate, other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
Direct Patient Care: Provide high quality, patient-centered and values-based medical care, referral of patients for specialty care as needed, collaboration with health care team members as appropriate for consultation, referrals and follow-up care (80%).

Supervision of Clinical Staff: Assist mid-level health care providers in assessment and treatment of patients as necessary and direct supervision of nursing staff (10%).

Patient Education: Direct patient education regarding medical conditions and treatment, appropriate verbal and written patient referrals for further health education, assist CEO and CMO in program development and implementation as necessary (5%).

Quality Management and Utilization Review: Practice in an efficient, cost effective manner, participation in department and clinic-wide meetings, attend relevant Continuing Medical Education courses (5%).

Job Summary:
Direct Patient Care: Performs patient care as directed by staff dentist; take, develop, mount and file radiographs; take impressions for diagnostic and opposing models; perform mirror inspections of the oral cavity.

Back Office Duties: Ensures operatory is properly cleaned and equipped, maintains equipment, calls in repairs, sterilizes instruments, sets up procedure trays.

Patient Relations: Provides positive care to patients and family, translates English/Spanish communication between dentist, client and family members as appropriate.

Documentation Duties: Performs hard and soft tissue charting under the supervision of the staff dentist, performs chart reviews under the supervision of the staff dentist.
