Position Title: Behavioral Health Specialist


Location: Camino Health Center
Full/Part Time: Full Time with Benefits
Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Specialist provides behavioral health services to patients of all ages at Camino Health Center. The Behavioral Health Specialist work alongside the health center’s medical teams to provide comprehensive whole person care. The Behavioral Health Specialists provides same day mental health consults, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, psychotherapy, alcohol and drug screening using the SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment), education/support groups and resource information. The Behavioral Health Specialist is the link between Camino Health Center, the community, and other local agencies that provide services for this population. Behavioral health services will be provided on site at Camino Health Center and with other community partnerships.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college, university or professional school
  • 2 years of providing direct behavioral health services to children and families
  • Must be licensed, in the state of California, as an LCSW and be in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences; current BLS certification
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish; experience in an out-patient or community mental health setting; previous experience with motivational interviewing and brief counseling

Position Title: Clinic Manager


Location: Camino Health Center – San Clemente

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Site Director, the Clinic Manager is responsible for coordinating the efficient flow of medical services, ensuring a high level of customer service and managing the medical clinic’s telecommunications and medical records systems. The Clinic Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating the activities of the Patient Services Representatives, Patient Services Representative Lead, Medical Assistants, Primary Care Team Lead, and Care Coordinator. The Clinic Manager is charged with maximizing appointment scheduling, ensuring patients are checked-in accurately and facilitating proper registration with various public and private funded programs. Participates and leads initiatives to enhance the health center’s Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) care delivery model. The Clinic Manager is responsible for promoting positive working relationships with patients, families, health care providers and health center employees. The Clinic Manager is charged with developing a culture of teamwork within the department in order to guarantee an excellent patient experience; ensures all interactions with parties coming into contact with the medical clinic are congruent with the health center’s core values. The Clinic Manager directly supervises the Patient Services Representatives, Patient Services Representative Lead, and Medical Assistants. The Clinic Manager is an active member of the Management Team.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience / Training: Prior supervisory experience and excellent customer services skills
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in related field
  • Experience / Training: Bilingual English/Spanish; two years of experience working in an outpatient primary care clinic; two years of supervisory experience; experience working at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Position Title: Facilities Coordinator

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Facilities Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing facility operations. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for implementing a preventative maintenance program that includes the up keep and repair of the health center’s facilities and equipment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing building security and safety of all patients and employees. The Facility Coordinator serves as the safety officer.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in general repairs, building security, and safety. Experience managing vendor agreements and contracts.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in a healthcare setting. Prior experience leading clinic operations in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • License / Certification: Certified Facility Manager, CFM

Position Title: Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
The medical assistant’s primary job function is to work as part of the primary care team to provide high quality, efficient and service oriented patient care while demonstrating the health center’s core values. The medical assistant works alongside physicians, mid-level providers, behavioral health professionals, registered nurses and other support staff support to delivery direct patient care services. The medical assistant is responsible for executing standing orders as well as anticipating the needs of the care team in order to help facilitate the delivery of quality clinical care and a positive patient experience. The medical assistant is responsible for actively participating in the health center’s quality and continuous improvement activities.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Current BLS certification
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • One year experience or training in a health care setting. Experience working in an electronic health record (EHR). Allscripts EHR experience

Position Title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of patient-centered, team-based care that falls within the allowable scope of practice. This includes working collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses and medical assistants to provide advanced practice physical and psychosocial assessments, diagnosis and management of health and illness needs. The primary responsibility of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is direct patient care for all ages and genders, including both acute and chronic care. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will also assist the Chief Medical Officer and Staff Physicians in supervision of the nursing staff.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Position Title: Patient Services Representative (Medical)

Job Summary:
Primary job function is to work as part of a team to provide high quality, efficient service oriented patient care while demonstrating the health center’s core values. Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Clinic Manager, the Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to Camino’s patients, community partners, and other health center employees. The PSR is responsible for effectively communicating with patients for the purpose of obtaining and relaying accurate information needed for processing their medical visit. The PSR is charged with answering phone calls from patients and the community and appropriately processing each request. The PSR is responsible for processing medical records and other patient related documents. The PSR uses the health center’s electronic health record (EHR) and electronic workflow processes to conduct their work.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Position Title: Primary Care Physician


Location: Camino Health Center

Job Summary:
Direct Patient Care: Provide high quality, patient-centered and values-based medical care, referral of patients for specialty care as needed, collaboration with health care team members as appropriate for consultation, referrals and follow-up care (80%).

Supervision of Clinical Staff: Assist mid-level health care providers in assessment and treatment of patients as necessary and direct supervision of nursing staff (10%).

Patient Education: Direct patient education regarding medical conditions and treatment, appropriate verbal and written patient referrals for further health education, assist CEO and CMO in program development and implementation as necessary (5%).

Quality Management and Utilization Review: Practice in an efficient, cost effective manner, participation in department and clinic-wide meetings, attend relevant Continuing Medical Education courses (5%).

  • Board certified primary care physician with a minimum of two years experience in a primary care setting

  • Ability to relate to and work with people of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds and maintain patient confidentiality

Position Title: Revenue Cycle Manager


Location: Camino Health Center

Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Manager directs and oversees the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of an organization's revenue cycle activities to optimize the patient financial interaction along the care continuum. Reviews, designs, and implements processes surrounding admissions, pricing, billing, third party payer relationships, compliance, collections and other financial analyses to ensure that clinical revenue cycle is effective and properly utilized. Tracks numerous metrics related to the patient engagement cycle including record coding error rates and billing turnaround times to develop sound revenue cycle analysis and reporting. Manages relations with payers and providers to generate high reimbursement rates and a low level of denials. This position supervises the Patient Liaisons and billing specialist and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

The Revenue Cycle Manager is an active member of the Management Team.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience / Training: A minimum of five years of experience in healthcare setting; prior experience in revenue cycle management; prior supervisory experience; computer literate, with knowledge and ability to utilize decision support information systems.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Experience / Training: Ten years of experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • License / Certification: Training on relevant electronic health records/Allscripts.
